Certified Specialist SBA Construction and Real Estate Law
After graduating from the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich, Cléa Bouchat worked as a clerk in different courts, including the Administrative Chamber of the Superior Court of the canton de Vaud. She completed her lawyer traineeship at Leximmo Avocats, where she has practiced as an attorney-at-law since 2016. She obtained a Certificate in advance Study in construction and real estate law in 2024.
She teaches at the University of Lausanne alongside Professor Benoît Bovay, sharing her passion for administrative procedure. Her Ph.D. thesis, called “L’effet suspensif en procédure administrative”, received the Faculty Award in 2015 and the Walther Hug Award in 2016, honoring the best Ph.D. thesis of Switzerland.
Cléa Bouchat has developed her legal practice mainly in domains related to public law, particularly in urban planning, territorial development, and public procurement purposes.
She specializes her practice in all procedural questions regarding building permits (requests, decisions, oppositions and appeals) either on behalf of public authorities or of companies and private clients. She more generally deals with various real estate issues, such as secondary residence or acquisition of Swiss real estate by foreigners.
She also advises, assists and represents her clients in civil fields, primary in Contract law and Neighborhood law, but also in criminal fields.
